Cyclic curve 1.0

Curve 1.0 is linear, the same as in-game with no device-software curve. Higher values flatten the centre. Once you find a value that feels right here, reproduce it in the T.Flight's Windows profile or accept linear in the game.

Match these to your in-game settings. Start with both on. Turn hover assist off first when the hover drill is easy.

Notes

Hover collective sits at the centre mark on the bar. Touchdown over 4 m/s or with more than 15° of bank counts as a crash. Speed of rotation depends on how far you deflect, and it keeps rotating until you centre, the same as the game.

The map shows where you are, the chase view shows how you are sitting. Bank and pitch barely register from above, so the map carries an attitude indicator in the corner and the chase view puts you behind the aircraft, where the tilt of the rotor disc is the clearest picture of what the cyclic is doing. The button at the top right switches between them and remembers your choice.

The ground button swaps the plain grid for fields, hedges, trees and buildings. Height and speed are easier to judge against things of a known size than against an abstract grid, and the track along the corridor is the route the forward drills fly. Nothing is downloaded: the landscape is generated from its own coordinates, so it is the same every time and never covers a pad or the corridor.

With the landscape up the trees and buildings are solid, and touching one with the disc ends the run the same way the ground does. The corridor and the pads are kept clear, so the drills are flyable if you hold the line. The grid floor has nothing in it, which is the way to switch the obstacles off.

The hills button gives the ground some shape. Every height then means height above the ground beneath you, not above sea level, so the 15 m ceiling on the low run and the hover box follow the terrain the way a radar altimeter does. The pads stay level, and the map shades the slopes so you can read them from above. Flat ground is the default and behaves exactly as before.

When a drill ends the view switches to a debrief: charts of the run drawn from what you actually flew, with your previous run faint behind so you can see whether you are getting smoother. The button at the top right of the view flips between the debrief and the live view.
